How To Update Vendor Notes In UnitConnect

Updating Vendor Notes: Step-by-Step Guide

Transcription:

Hello, this is Nathan with UnitConnect the online property management software company. In this video tutorial, I’m going to be covering how to update vendor notes. So I’m going to start by clicking on the vendors tab here in the top main menu.

Following I’m going to select a property and now we have our associated vendors. I’m going to click on Fire Extinguisher Corporation and on the left hand side, under actions, we have vendor notes and I’m going to go ahead and click on that.

So here we can see that we have four sub-tabs, Vendor Details, Accounts, Transactions, and Notes and under here we have three sub-tabs which we have a communication log, notes, and our ability to upload documents.

So in this example, I can add a note to our communication log by clicking, Add here at the bottom and we’ll put the log date as today. I’ll say that it was reported on today. Let’s say it was reported by the property manager and let’s say that we need action by next week and so, currently the status will be pending for this action.

So I’ll go ahead and click, Save. And so now we can see that that is currently here and we can see that under status, we have it pending, and we can see what it needs to be resolved by.

If I wanted to modify it, I can click on it and click on Modify and let’s say I want to close it. So I’ll click, Close and click, Save. Alright and so now we can see our status is closed. In addition, if we wanted to make further notes, I can click on the notes tab and we have the ability to make any notes here.

If you do make any add any notes, you’ll want to click on Update notes after you’ve added anything and you also have the ability to upload documents. So, maybe for example, you want to upload pictures of the new expiry date for the fire extinguishers or whatever it may be, that you want to keep track of.

All right, that concludes this video tutorial on how to update vendor notes. Alright, that concludes this video tutorial. I hope that you found it helpful and informative. Please stay tuned for future updates and I’ll see you on the next video. Thank you so much.
